The publication features selected works from 1998-2008. Vodder's body of work includes paintings, drawings, collage, book-objects and multiples. She often works with clippings from magazines and cloth glued directly to the canvas. The works are concerned with the abstract image versus images which depict something or which we understand as carriers of meaning. The distinct yet understated titles are an important part of the work and points to the space which arises between the paintings and their titles. A poetic, conceptual playing with words and images.
