Description
Hutterite Studies was first published in 1961 in honour of Robert Friedmann's 70th birthday as a Festschrift representing the historian's most important works. It spans Hutterite history, the basis for their faith, daily life, and written works of the Hutterites; includes biographies of important Hutterite ministers. Robert Friedmann is one of those historians whose texts give the sense that the writer's personal life is not only touched, but enriched by the object of research, and that the presentation of the research would be far less spirited without those personal experiences.
