Description
Flik, a dog fox born on a South Midland farm, is the hero of this book. He arouses mixed feelings wherever he goes. He is at once befriended and persecuted, hated and admired. While his story is fictional, all the details are based on fact. It is a fascinating and moving story, full of insights into a fox's way of life; one see Flik's courage and cunning, his resourcefulness and impudence, all of which help to make him a legendary character in that area of the country. The story is accompanied by 40 evocative illustrations by a new artist, William Finch.
