Description
Hyroc and his friends have no home or allies; they are alone with only the clothes on their backs. A disastrous mishap with a werewolf obliterated what little they had going for them. This sent The Ministry of the Silver Scythe hunting for their heads. And just when safety seemed within their grasp, they were flung into a hostile forest where vicious subterranean plants hunger for their flesh. Fighting their way out of this verdant mess will require grit and determination in spades. But this could be just the beginning of their problems. Even if they somehow survive this nightmare, they have no idea what awaits them outside this death trap. They may simply be trading one lethal threat for another. But it's press on or die. It's as if fate itself strives against them. Can they survive this disaster, or is this where their epic struggle ends?

My name is Adam Freestone. Apart from being an author, I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I use a wheelchair, and my condition requires the use of a ventilator. But it has absolutely no impact on my mind. My disability makes my day-to-day routine challenging. It takes a lot of determination and patience to get anything done. Oddly enough, this is what initially gave me the idea for the main character of my Sentinel Flame books, Hyroc. Hyroc is not disabled, but he is different than everyone else, and this causes him problems. I wanted to present how I live with my disability while creating an adventure story readers would find intriguing. I tried to reflect through the character that sometimes we have to deal with trying times or make tough choices, but if you fight hard enough, you'll find something good eventually, no matter how dark things may appear.
