Description
In a quest to create a utopian society free of racial discrimination and bigotry, Dr. Harold Wright creates a time machine and sends Manny Brazil back in time to stop the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King. However, the mission results in unexpected deviations in the professor's marriage and threatens to destroy his friendship with Manny. The professor believes that all lives matter, but when it involved his beautiful wife, her life mattered more. The professor wants Manny to go back in time and undo the changes, but Manny, a black man born in the Jim Crow South, refuses to go back in time and transform a nation that is now free from racial injustice, profiling, and police brutality. Unable to resolve their differences, both men are headed down a path of no return with dire consequences.
