Based on "The Guardian"'s annual quest for the "People's Sausage", in which readers are invited to nominate their favourite sausages, which are then judged in a series of regional heats until the national final, this volume lists the names and addresses of the butchers who make the top 60 bangers in the UK. Matthew Fort is "The Guardian"'s Food Editor. In 1991 he won both the Glennfiddich Food Writer of the Year and the Restaurateur's Association Food Writer of the Year Awards.
