Reviews / Votes
"a positive, kind andunderstanding story to help kids with their fears,"
- School Days Magazines "A celebration of the power of friendship and feelings
shared."
- Sunday Telegraph "The story is one of self-acceptance and
emotional awareness in young children. It embodies strong themes of overcoming
your fears and uses vibrant illustrations to encourage imaginative play with
others. These themes will resonate with young children in a wide range of
settings."
- Buzz Words Magazine "An ideal introduction to so many areas -
emotional connections and recognising our fears and investigating them so their
reality is put in perspective through new-found knowledge" - Bottom Shelf " Forsyth's sensitive, insightful narrative
combine with Street's strong visual imagery to make Shadow Play an
excellent choice to promote discussion around children's anxiety and fears,
and, as the title suggests, to 'play' with them, see them from different points
of view, reframe them, and that, most importantly, you don't have to do this
alone." -StoryLinks "Shadow Play is a sensitive and thought-provoking read. Themes of
fear, courage, perspective and friendship are strong in this picture book."
-Get Kids Booked (Via Instagram) "This is a great book from one of our leading
authors and one that will fit perfectly in your classroom or library
collection, provoking rich and fruitful discussions."
