The illustrated pupils' book offers ideas for written coursework assignments which aim to help students of different ability levels to write effectively. It offers guidance and practice in writing for a specific purpose, gives advice on planning and writing-up work for assessment, and suggests ideas and stimuli to foster the enjoyment of reading and writing. There is five to six weeks' work for class or group work resulting in two or three coursework assignments. The teacher's guide provides advice on planning work modules, coursework outcomes, final assessment criteria and flexible teaching approaches.
