Description
You Know More Than You Think is a five-book experiential series exploring perceptual literacy: how awareness forms, stabilizes, differentiates, navigates, and ultimately encounters the larger forces shaping reality.
Awareness does not disappear under pressure.
It narrows.
In The Gravity of Reality, the final volume in the You Know More Than You Think series, Elly Flippen turns attention beyond the individual perceptual system and toward the larger forces that shape what awareness is able to register.
If What's Already There explored noticing, Where You Sit stabilizing, The Shape of Knowing differentiating, and Above the Noise navigating perception, this final book asks a deeper question:
What happens when awareness encounters the forces that shape shared reality itself?
By this stage, awareness is already active.
The question is no longer how to access perception.
It becomes:
What influences what we are able to see, believe, and recognize as real?
This book explores how perception unfolds within larger systems, including:how plausibility filters determine what becomes acceptable to perceive
how culture, identity, and institutions influence perception before thought
how informational environments and digital narratives shape collective attention
how repetition, framing, and authority stabilize shared explanations
how subliminal and symbolic signals guide interpretation beneath awareness
how geomagnetic conditions, solar activity, and planetary rhythms form part of the biological environment of perception
Perception does not unfold in isolation.
It unfolds within informational, social, and planetary contexts.
You are not outside reality.
You are participating in how it organizes.
And once that becomes visible, the gravity of thought changes.

Person
Elly Flippen is an author and researcher exploring human perception, awareness, and how experience forms in real time. Her work spans experiential, conceptual, and narrative forms, focusing on perceptual literacy-how noticing, meaning, and interpretation take shape before conscious thought. She grew up in close proximity to her uncle, artist and remote viewing pioneer Ingo Swann, where she was immersed in his creative work, perceptual research, and the wider community around it. That experience gave her a first-hand view of how perception operates at the edges of what is usually noticed.
