Single Homelessness

This overview report draws together the main findings of this thorough review of homelessness research in Britain. It highlights the key themes and trends, gaps in the current knowledge, inconsistencies and contradictions in available evidence, and presents the "story" of homelessness as it has emerged from the research since its inception. The overview provides: a contextual basis for research generally; a range of definitions of homelessness; analysis of who is homeless and why; consideration of the social aspects of single homeless people's lives; summary of the findings of the review; and recommendations for policy and further research.
