The 1st in a series of novels about a young woman doctor in the wild Yorkshire setting of the Dales. Ravensdale introduces Dr Laura Grant and her move to the small Yorkshire community of Ravensdake, close to where she grew up. Newly divorced, her only contract there is an old school friend, Mary Mercer. Laura soon becomes immersed in the community, meeting the locals and gaining their acceptance, and exploring the wild rural landscape which she loves. But soon the community is divided as the proposed building of a quarry through Ravensdale threatens the beauty of the Dales. And then Laura's peaceful life is turned upside down by the arrival of her Ex husband, threatening her chance for love and happiness...
