Description
The percussion section continues to be expanded to this day and adapted to the needs of composers. This work not only examines the historical development of modern percussion instruments - with a particular focus, of course, on the timpani - but also includes, in its final section, the commissioned composition for the grand opening ceremony of the 2015 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein.

Markus Feurstein, nascido em 1989, estudou Pedagogia Instrumental e Vocal no Conservatório Regional de Vorarlberg, que funciona em cooperação com o Mozarteum de Salzburgo, tendo concluído o curso com o grau académico de 'Bachelor of Arts'. É professor de música e músico de orquestra e vive em Vorarlberg, na Áustria.
