His consulting projects include conservation of irrigation water on the lawn of the White House and site design guidelines to protect runoff quality in the metropolitan regions of San Francisco and Los Angeles and in the states of Florida, Georgia, and New York. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Educator Award of the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, and a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
