An account of Dan Farson's journey by horseback in the Caucasus, following in the footsteps of his father, the war correspondent Negley Farson, who chronicled his own journey made in 1929 in Caucasian journey. Travelling with two Russian companions, Dan will attempt to successfully - unlike his father - cross the Klukhor Pass. The book will combine a personal quest (comparing his father's arrival at the dawn of communism with his own at its decline) with a travel adventure in a area, capturing the spell of Russia and the Caucasus.
