Description
This work offers a flexible framework on which to build a whole year of maths, structured to fit in with the National Numeracy Strategy. This resource provides term-by-term planning and model "maths lessons". The practical loose-leaf format allows teachers to separate the pages to store them in a ring-binder and insert their own activities and notes according to the needs of the class. Each book includes: advice on managing the "maths lesson" for a specific primary year group; the long-term planning needed for each term; all the National Numeracy Strategy objectives sorted into week-by-week plans; at-a-glance grids that highlight the objectives and lesson content of the mental maths, whole-class and differentiated group work for each lesson; at least 100 lesson plans with supporting photocopiable resources and worksheets; suggestions for the content of every "maths lesson" in the year; and assessment advice and photocopiable review tests and record sheets.
