LUKE - Insightful and accessible - this text engages the reader to gain a greater understanding of purpose and direction. When reading you feel part of a conversation, one that is really listening to you and helping you to find others to converse with in a productive manner to a positive end. In fact more important than conversations with others are the conversations that you are encouraged to have with yourself - this is a great starting point for anyone facing a some kind of change or uncertainty which we all do at some moment in our lives. It makes you reflect and take stock in order to move forwards. The advice is grounded and straight talking making this the book for everyone - I highly recommend to anyone out there - if you're already here reading this review then look no further for a text that will guide you through the process of progression and change;More details

Person
"At the risk of sounding cliched, I really do have a passion for supporting people to turn their lives around. This passion comes from knowing that what I do can be life-changing and sometimes life-saving. My identity as a practitioner is shaped by my own experiences and those of the people I work with. Before my current career, I worked in National Press advertising in the mid-to-late 1990s. My life took a destructive path during this time, and my mental health deteriorated. A coach / therapist, amongst others, helped me put my life back together.
While still working in advertising, putting my life back together began with volunteering for a charity in South East London. The charity, which offered respite to families with children living with conditions such as autism, proved to be the start of my new career.
Although it took a while to sink in, I realised that volunteering gave me a sense of meaning and purpose that my advertising career did not. After a period of living in France, I returned to England and spent the next few years working in mental health as a Mental Health Advocate for the charity MIND.
In July 2005, I qualified as a therapist and began a fifteen-year career working for De Monfort University as a student coach and therapist. For over a decade and a half, I was privileged to work with some inspirational students and staff. From 2007 to 2010, I also worked in the Employee Assistance Industry, where another passion of mine, supporting people in business, developed.
I saw first-hand what a difference life coaching and therapy could make to employee mental health and wellness in the workplace. In 2015, I qualified as an executive coach, and in 2016 I set up Conversations
With Impact work as a private therapist & life coach. In 2018, I decided that my business would be my future and decided to leave Higher Education.
