Description
The Bridge programme covered EU-supported biotechnology-related activities between 1990-1994. It was the direct successor of two earlier programmes specifically designed to reinforce the scientific and technological basis of agriculture, industry, healthcare and environmental protection in Europe. One of the most noticeable impacts of the programme is the continued development of a transnational scientific community in European biotechnology. This report reviews the programme and makes recommendations on future projects.
