Language Documentation

Language documentation provides a firm foundation for linguistic analysis in that it creates a citable set of materials on which claims about the structure of the languages can be based. This subfield of linguistics already features prominently in the Mouton program (MGL, EALT, LT journal). The handbook fills a crucial gap and integrates various linguistic research traditions. All major scholars in the field will contribute to the book.
