Seizures and Epilepsy

Part I introduces the terminology and classification schemes used in the study of epilepsy and places the disorder in an historic and epidemiological perspective. Part II discusses basic mechanisms and causes of epileptic phenomena. Part III describes the phenomenology of seizures, syndromes and other related disturbances, and Part IV presents the diagnosis, treatment and social intervention in relation to epilepsy. This text is designed for neurologists, neurophysiologists, internists and paediatricians.
