Michael Embry is the author of 14 books including 10 novels, three nonfiction sports books, and a short-story collection. He spent more than 30 years in the news media, working as an award-winning reporter, sportswriter, and editor for two newspapers, a national news service, and a regional magazine as well as a book editor. Embry is co-founder, along with fellow Wings author Chris Helvey, of the Bluegrass Writers Coalition. He is a member of several environmental, human rights, animal rescue, and wildlife organizations.
