Imaginative Writing: Key Stage 2

This is the first of four "Writing Workshops" designed to support the teaching of imaginative and non-fiction writing at Key Stages 1 and 2. "Imaginative Writing KS 2" is a multi-media resource developed for teachers who want to ensure that the requirements of the English curricula are delivered in a way that: inspires children and instils a love of story-telling and writing; offers models of excellent writing; teaches specific skills, strategies and techniques to improve the quality of writing; provides opportunities for extended writing; and is responsive to different needs of children in a class. This is the complete set. It contains: "TRB 1: Teaching the Craft of Writing" - activity chapters, anthology, and general photocopiable pages to teach the process of writing; "TRB 2: Writing Projects" - providing lesson plans and photocopiable support material for extended writing projects; trade books - single copies of nine books; and an audio cassette in which Dick King-Smith, Bernard Ashley, Jill Paton Walsh and Frank Rodgers talk about their work in general and read extracts from some of their stories.
