Person
Her mother is British, her father American. She has lived in the UK since 1970. As a child she was a tomboy, and loved swimming, climbing trees, ice-skating - anything outdoors. She also loved reading and playing the piano - in fact, she still likes all of the above except climbing trees! She has two sons, and has been married for 32 years. She has been a teacher, psychologist, and now is Director of the children's charity Kidscape.
