He was formerly a teacher of Religious Studies and Philosophy at Shiplake College, an HMC independent school in Oxfordshire. He has also lectured in Religious Studies and the Humanities at The Open University, and has published academic work on the history of Hinduism. Currently he is writing up his Ph.D. research on ancient Indian religion at the University of Oxford.
