Maria grew up in a small town in western Slovakia and studied Graphic Design at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic. After obtaining her BA, she moved on to studying illustration and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, where she completed her education with an MA in Arts. She now works as a freelance illustrator. Nicola Edwards was raised by the seaside in beautiful Brighton. She loves reading, dancing, rhyming and turquoise things. She now lives with her husband and children in North London and spends her days writing and editing children's books. She has been nominated for the UKLA and Blue Peter Book awards and is a two-time Parenting Product Awards winner.
