Her research focuses on the social implications of information and communication technologies and the role of technology in teaching and learning. She has presented and published her research nationally and internationally. Richard Fiordo (PhD, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) is a professor of communication and director of the graduate program with the School of Communication at the University of North Dakota. He has published two books and numerous articles on various aspects of human communication. His recent research interests include instructional technologies and information literacy. Dr. Fiordo has worked in higher education in Canada and the United States.
