Director, producer, and writer Bill Duke is the godfather of African-American cinema. He was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Tribute from the Directors Guild of America. He has degrees from Boston University, New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and the American Film Institute. He lives in Los Angeles, California. Shelia P. Moses has written fourteen books, including The Legend of Buddy Bush, a National Book Award nominee and winner of the Coretta Scott King Award. She was the coauthor of Dick Gregory's memoir, Callus on My Soul. Her novel Joseph was nominated for the 2009 NAACP Image Award.
