Description
Cindy and Ringo is about a little girl and her journey in eventually adopting her first pet. Among the many cute cats to choose from, Ringo is a special cat with his own story of abandonment and longs to have a family of his own one day. While visiting a local cat shelter in search of a kitten, 5 year-old Cindy notices a particularly lonely looking older cat, Ringo, who quickly befriends her. Cindy learns the valuable lesson that pets can be loving friends at any age.
Paul was inspired to write Cindy and Ringo after his eye-opening experience volunteering at a local no-kill cat shelter. The shelter housed hundreds of abandoned -mostly adult cats- that the staff struggled with daily to care for. The goal was to try to find homes for these animals through adoption. Unfortunately, many people were only interested in adopting kittens or very young animals. Paul's intent is to encourage people to visit local animal shelters and consider adopting adult animals as well.
