Alexander du Pre is a lifelong model maker with an interest in designing and building fully-working radio controlled vehicles, miniature internal combustion engines and workshop tooling. As an amateur model engineer, he has established a home workshop over many years and fully understands the challenges involved in achieving high quality results with limited workshop facilities and budget. His articles have appeared in the modelling press and he has exhibited his work at model engineering exhibitions in the UK. He is a naval architect and a chartered engineer with a long career in the marine industry.
