Saunders Pharmaceutical Word Book 1995

This pharmaceutical reference provides the correct spelling and capitalization of drug names; their primary designated uses (capsule, cream, IV etc); and describes how the drug is used, how the patient can get it and what active ingredient it contains. The book also alphabetically lists experimental, orphan and chemotherapy drugs and includes drugs awaiting approval. Recently discontinued drugs, which may still appear in the physician dictation, are listed. Today's preferred generic names and the agencies adopting them are included in the reference. The appendix contains common abbreviations, "sound-alike" drugs and investigational codes (cross-referenced to their subsequent generic names). British and international drug names are also cross-referenced both to the preferred US name and to each other.
