Description
Although not a term in common use, "floating support" has become an accepted alternative to supported accommodation, one in which the support is tied to the individual and not the property where they live. Based on interviews, this report presents a profile of the aspirations and experience of people who have used floating support services. Participants needs arose from a range of circumstances. The report examines the arrangements and funding of services and their value and limitations from the user's point of view.
