Patrick Doherty is an author, teacher, martial arts instructor, and youth programs director. He was born in Naperville, Illinois, and grew up with his sister in neighboring Aurora. He teaches Okinawan karate & self-defense to children and teens full time, and serves as director for the non-profit youth organization. Patrick has also taught English and History at the middle school level. He enjoys reading as much as writing, and is also an avid surfer, guitarist, and life-long fan of the Chicago White Sox. Patrick lives in Florida.
