Matt Doeden is a freelance author and editor from Minnesota. He's written numerous children's books on sports, music, current events, the military, extreme survival, and much more. His books Sandy Koufax (Twenty-First Century Books, 2006) and Tom Brady: Unlikely Champion (Twenty-First Century Books, 2011) were Junior Library Guild selections. Doeden began his career as a sports writer before turning to publishing. He lives in Minnesota with his wife and two children. Martin Bustamante is an illustrator and painter from Argentina. At the age of 3 he was able to draw a horse "starting by the tail"as his mother always tells. As a teenager he found on movies like Star Wars and books as Prince Valiant, from Harold Foster, new and fascinating worlds full of colors, shapes and atmospheres that became his inspiration for drawing. At that moment drawing and painting became his passions. He started working as a professional illustrator and has work for several editorials and magazines from Argentina, Usa and Europe. Cari Meister has written more than 130 books for children, including the Tiny series (Penguin) and the Fast Forward Fairy Tales series (Scholastic). Cari is a school librarian and she loves to visit other schools and libraries to talk about the joy of reading and writing. Born in Essex in 1972, he moved to Kent as a child. After serving in the British armed forces and as a detective constable with Kent Police, he pursued his dream career in creating art for children's books. He lives in the green and tranquil village of Chartham with his loving wife of twenty years, three teenage children, and three small dogs.
