Emily Dodd is a children's author and science communicator with a passion for making complex ideas clear and exciting for young readers. She holds an MSc in Communicating Science and a BSc in Geophysical Sciences, and spent eight years working in museums developing hands-on educational programmes for schools and families. Emily has written 23 books for children, including fiction and non-fiction, as well as reading-banded titles for primary pupils. She is also a singer-songwriter and musician, with an understanding of the physics of sound as well as the experience of creating music. Alongside her writing, Emily has more than 20 years' experience leading creative workshops in schools, helping children build confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
