Disability Pride: Sets 1 - 2

Differences should be celebrated! To do this well, however, people need to better understand how we can all be different, including our abilities and disabilities, and how many aspects of life matter when it comes to these differences. These unique sets present an in-depth look at some of these different aspects for young readers. Each volume examines why and how understanding topics such as education, language, representation, and more can give them a better perspective on life with a disability, whether it's their own or that of a friend! They also seek to dispel myths about disability and note that the disabled community is not a monolith--everyone is unique!
