She graduated from the Institute of Children's Literature, West Redding, Connecticut. She is retired from Marshall University School of Medicine, Huntington, West Virginia. She was motivated and inspired to write by her own childhood memories; her daughters, now grown; and her three grandsons, also now grown. She has always been and continues to be inspired by children, whom she loves dearly. She is working on a collage of her stories for a hardcover book to be read to or by children.
