Magnificent Max

On the night of a great storm, Timmy and his father see a gleaming metal shape overhead and when it has passed, a very large cat has appeared in the garden! Max, for that is his name, is a rather unusual animal - he drinks brandy out of a cup and sleeps in a bed.
