Queen Mother Ratnaprava Devi is the mother to the current king of Dhenkanal Brigadier Kamakhya Prasad Singh Deo. Her Excellency Queen Mother Ratna Prava Devi is wife of Late King Shankar Pratap Singh Deo and princess of Sareikala Kharsuan Kingdom. She was a member of Odisha Legislative Assembly from 1956-1971. She was also the first female scout of Odisha who travelled across the world with her children. She was a symbol of courage, valor and compassion. A strong devotee of lord, she was instrumental in bringing many radical reforms in the state of Dhenkanal as well as in Odisha. This is her autobiography and a commentary on socio-political history of Odisha spreading her lifetime.
