Story and Rhyme Displays

The books in the THEMES ON DISPLAY series contain ideas for stimulus, interactive and table-top displays that involve and celebrate children's work. Each book focuses on a range of popular early years themes suitable for three to five-year olds. There are clear learning objectives and Early Learning Goal curriculum links for each display idea. A main Introduction to each book gives practical tips and information on areas such as mounting, lettering, using drapes and working in 3-D. Photocopiable pages at the end of each book provide useful templates, borders, lettering etc. The STORY AND RHYME book provides lots of lively interactive display ideas covering: Traditional Tales; Favourite Stories; Nursery Rhymes; Action Rhymes; and Counting Rhymes. The displays also help to encourage learning across all the areas of the curriculum. Ideas include setting up a shoemaker's shop, creating a colourful 'Elmer' elephant and producing a door display for the rhyme 'Hickory Dickory,Dock'.
