Edmund Delaney (1914-2000) was a graduate of Princeton and Harvard Law School and a member of the Connecticut and New York Bars. He was also a trustee of the Connecticut River Foundation at Steamboat Dock in Essex, Connecticut, a director of the Connecticut River Watershed Council at Easthampton, Massachusetts, the Chairman of the Chester Conservation Commission, and president of the Chester Historical Society. He was the author of The Connecticut Shore (1969), New York's Greenwich Village (1968), Greenwich Village, a Photographic Guide (with Charles Lockwood)(1975), and New York's Turtle Bay (1965).
