Person
Tom Deitz grew up in Young Harris, Georgia, and earned bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from the University of Georgia. His major in medieval English (it was as close as he could get to Tolkien) and his fondness for castles, Celtic art and costumes led Mr. Deitz to the Society for Creative Anachronism, of which he is still a member. A fair-to-middlin artist, Mr. Deitz is also a car nut, has recently taken up horseback riding and hunting, (neither with remarkable success), and still thinks every now and then about building a castle.
