Dr. Michael J. Deeb was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as the eldest of five boys. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Aquinas College, a Master's in U.S. History from Michigan State University, and a Doctorate from Wayne State University.
Dr. Deeb spent twenty years teaching historical research and American History before transitioning to the business world for the next twenty-five years. He was elected to the Michigan State Board of Education, where he served for several years.
In retirement, Dr. Deeb returned to his first passion—U.S. history—and began writing historical novels set in mid-19th century America. His works include the acclaimed Drieborg Chronicles series, which explores the complexities of the Civil War era.
Dr. Deeb currently resides in Sun City Center, Florida, with his wife, Sally Dittman. Together, they have five children and ten grandchildren.
