Marek Ranis

Through sculpture, video, painting and installation, Marek Ranis explores the emotional and environ mental extremes that shape our world. Cieplo Zimno, meaning "Warm Cold", reflects on human fragility, displacement and resilience amid ecologi cal and social transformation. The publication surveys over twenty years of the artist's practice investigating the tensions between hope and despair, belonging and exile. Often created through long-term engagement with scientists, local communities and landscapes in the Arctic and other climate-vulnerable regions, his work lies at the junction of art, science and climate consciousness. Contributions by Julie Decker, Jonathon Keats and Jae Emerling situate Ranis's poetic yet critical works within a broader meditation on change, displace ment and the delicate balance between human experience and the environments we inhabit
