Evie Daye is a writer and children's book editor. Ever since she was a little girl, she's loved stickers and still keeps a box of them by her desk to help brighten her day. In her free time, she loves to see musicals with her partner, do crafts, and wander around the city. She lives in a small, colourful apartment in Brooklyn, New York.
Born in San Sebastian, Julia Bereciartu is a freelance Spanish illustrator. Since she was a little girl, her biggest passion has always been painting and drawing. She loved reading books and dreamed of painting the illustrations that accompanied them when she grew up. After graduating from Communications and studying a master's degree in animation, Julia moved to Madrid and worked several years as a graphic designer, continuing to draw in her spare time and building a portfolio. In 2009, she decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming an illustrator. Since then, Julia has worked as a freelance illustrator, mainly in children's picture books, middle grade books and cover illustrations. She also loves working in advertising, editorial illustration, apparel and the occasional animation. Julia works both digitally and traditionally (mainly in gouache and coloured pencils) and with every new project she likes to challenge herself to try new techniques and continue evolving. She particularly loves giving life to quirky, sassy characters with humour and sweetness, creating organic textures and using a warm colour palette.
