Description
Moonlight can totally change your life. And it all starts so simply. You. Him. The moon. You're toast. Okay, so maybe Shelby has made a few mistakes with boys lately. But her stepmother totally overreacts when she packs Shelby off to brat camp. Suddenly, it's good-bye, prom dress; hello, hiking boots. Things start looking up, though, when Shelby meets fellow camper (and son of a rock star!) Austin Bridges III. But soon she realizes there's more to Austin than crush material-his family has a dark secret, and he wants Shelby's help guarding it...
Reviews / Votes
"What's a girl courted by an amber-eyed hottie to do? Fans of paranormal romance will enjoy this sweet debut." -- Kirkus Reviews "This werewolf debut makes for a quick read and an easy sell for reluctant readers." -- ALA Booklist "Davis weaves together a fast-paced action adventure story with issues of peer pressure, divorce, betrayal, friendship, acceptance, and, of course, romance. This novel has great teen appeal [and] will leave readers wanting more." -- School Library Journal "A charmingly cute, fast-paced spin on Little Red Riding Hood on one level, a werewolf-themed romance on another, this is a quick, but thoroughly enjoyable read." -- Realms of FantasyMore details

Person
Heather Davis: At first glance, I don't seem like an outdoorsy person, but somehow I've spent a lot of time in the woods, including working as a chef in remote Alaska and teaching school in a tiny logging town in the North Cascade Mountains. Never Cry Werewolf is an homage to both those rugged adventures and all the fun times I've spent singing stupid songs about lunch meat (eww!) and gobbling down s'mores (yum!). I didn't set out to write a book about werewolves, but I fell in love with the idea that everyone has a side of themselves that's shown to the world and one that's kept hidden. These days, I'm enjoying big city life in the Pacific Northwest. When I'm not writing YA novels, I'm haunting my local movie theater and spending time with a colorful cast of friends and family (who do occasionally howl).
