This book discusses the concept of bad language and swearing from a multi-disciplinary perspective, arguing that it is only from a wide-ranging viewpoint that one can even begin to illuminate the various forms taken by swearing. It addresses the different forms that swearing now takes and considers the religious and secular arguments against swearing as well as the uses of it in medical literature.
