Ferin Davis Anderson is an ecologist, founder of Omakakii LLC, and an enrolled citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa in North Dakota. She is committed to reciprocal land stewardship that honors both culture and science. Ferin is also the coauthor of Wildfire: The Culture, Science, and Future of Fire. She has been working with fire as an ecological and cultural tool to achieve beneficial and healing outcomes since 2014. Witnessing Indigenous people revitalize and reconnect with this practice has been one of the greatest gifts of her career.
