This is a really informative book which we felt would be a good introduction to bird watching. The book comes with the added bonus of a CD containing 40 bird songs, which we had a wonderful time listening to! The book itself is packed with information and has a good mix of photographs and illustrations. The children used the book to find out about the birds that featured in other books we had reviewed. There is also a handy hint or a fantastic fact on every page, which the children really enjoyed reading. * Child Education Plus * A practical and beautifully illustrated introduction to birdwatching and the world of birds, including fascinating information on bird behaviour and instructions for making bird feeders, sketching birds and keeping a bird diary. It's packed with handy hints and expert's identification tips, and lists of birds to spot in different habitats as well as internet links to recommended websites with identification guides, video clips, games and activities. A special CD with recordings of 40 birdsongs is included. * Surrey Nature *More details
