Description
- Does your child struggle to get to sleep at bedtime?
- Is your child fidgety and wired at bedtime?
- In fact - is 'bedtime' not really a thing at all for your neurodivergent child?
Sleep is not one-size-fits-all, and for children who are autistic, have ADHD or any other neurodivergent condition, navigating night-time comes with unique challenges and needs. As a parent, an autistic person and a sleep consultant, Rosey Davidson - just_chill_mama - has some practical, compassionate and evidence-based resources to share with you if you're struggling, tired and worried about your child's sleep patterns and needs.
Aimed at parents of children from 2 to 12 years, and written in Rosey's signature warm and empowering voice, The Neurodivergent Sleep Book demystifies the science of sleep for neurodivergent kids - and offers tailored strategies that work for you in the real world. From managing sensory preferences and creating visual timetables, to strategies for night-time waking, understanding sleep-influencing factors like toileting and diet, and (crucially) prioritising your own rest, this book will help you and your family build a better sleep routine.
With expert input from clinical psychologist Dr Cleo Williamson, and featuring sleep diaries, visual routines, regulation activities and scripts for tricky bedtimes, The Neurodivergent Sleep Book will help you create a more peaceful home, which in turn fosters emotional regulation, wellbeing and connection.
