Worrying

Since the mid-1980s there has been considerable interest in the construct of worry, and it is a central diagnostic feature of anxiety disorders with the publication of DSM-IV. In this volume, the experience and function of worry is described, and its aetiology and maintenance are explained from a broad range of theoretical perspectives. The book provides analysis of current population groups, information on assessment instruments, and therapeutic strategies developed for ameliorating worry.
