Description
Contrast enhanced Computed tomography is an effective diagnostic modality to demonstrate the inflammatory process, pancreatic necrosis, local and extrapancreatic complications and grades the severity in acute pancreatitis.There was significant concordance between grades of severity of AP as per the MCTSI and RAC in 56 (80%) patients.There was statistical significance in the presence of pancreatic necrosis and persistent organ failure in acute pancreatitis. Occurrence of organ failure and death was significantly higher insevere category of RAC than in severe category of Mortele MCTSI.
